News according the Turkish national team and La Liga-player Nihat Kahveci:
Valencia, Villarreal and Atletico Madrid are all interested in signing him. It will be a very interesting thing too see, I hope Atlético signs him ofcourse wouldn't be wrong for our attacking play. Still, I'm not quite sure about it. He's had a couple of great matches in Sociedad lately and last match he scored 2 goals in the Basque-derby which was stunning.
Quality player if he ever gets signed to a big team. |

Sociedad must be gutted that they didn't sell him for huge money 3 years ago when claims were that madrid were interested |

Yep. But I still like that they didn't sell him, although they could've got alot of money. I think he's a terrifick player and he's had 2 tough years since that brilliant season. I think he will stay if he continues playing as he did last match against Bilbao together with that danish guy, Skoubo who was stunning.
I really hope Atlético buys him if he wants to leave instead of Valencia and Villareal and I think they will buy something like him if Torres is leaving for either Milan, Chelsea or any other big club. |

Damn.
Hamburg lost their game at 1. FC Nürnber 1-2 :( :mad: :confused:
Both new players Ailton and de Jong were in the starting line-up but I think this wasn't a good decision.
Ailton only got a handful of ball contacts and no shot at the goal while de Jong made a lot of mistakes, got a yellow card and made a turnover which led to the game-winning-goal.
It was obvious that de Jong didn't find his place in the team yet which is no surprise because he only had 1 practice with his teammates. But of course it's only a matter of time until he knows his teammates and the strategy to show his full potential.
And because the whole team played terrible and only had few shots at the goal (Hamburgs goal even was a own goal) you can't blame Ailton and de Jong for their performance.
4 key players were missing. van der Vaart is still injured, Barbarez wasn't allowed to play because of his 5th yellow card and Atouba and Demel play at the Africa Cup.
And that's a big problem here. The starting line-up is really good but we don't have enough good bench players that can replace a key player.
February will be a tough month for the team. van der Vaart won't be back until march and Atouba and Demel will miss the next 2 or 3 games. Somehow we have to get through the month without loosing to much points.
Until van der Vaart is back in action and Ailton and de Jong find their place in the team, it's not clear how strong Hamburg really is and which goals can be achieved.
Hopefully in march all players are back and ready to show which potential this team really has. |

Liverpool close to signing depor winger victor. Fowler, aggers, kromkamp and victor. Now to bad. Definitly strengths the squad.
Havent seen much of victor, any la liga fans know what hes like? Badly need a right winger should hopefully he can do a job for us. |

| Speaking of right wingers, Benfica's Simão has been rumoured to tranfer to Liverpool for ages, now he's being given as a very likely summer signing for Chelsea. Honestly, apart from me thinking he's not good enough for Chelsea, why in hell would they want him when they have Robben, Duff, Wright-Philips and Cole? |
