recording a live set from decks - softwear?

| Vinyl is notious for recording with DC offset problems, make sure you fix the DC offset after recording. Sound Forge has this function. |

| what is this DC offset you speak off? i use SF and record fine...am i missing somthing? hehe. |

If you have nero burning rom on you computer, then you most likely have NERO WAVE EDITOR on it too. Good recording quality, and quite stable. There's been a couple of times that I didn't have access to my usual software choices for one reason or another, and used it for for an 'emergency' recording session.
However with that said, I still think I'd give up my right-arm before I'd give up my sound forge
