it's sort of a preview.
Though I think it sounds already quite decent, now I just want to add a few more melodies :) (synthy)
hope you can give me suggestions and/or feedback :) |

I really really like the acoustic guitars (& the banjo? =p) and the overall sound, but I can't say I like what you've done with the beautiful vocals =\. why did you speed it up like that? too bad, otherwise I'd give you an 8/10, instead of a 6,5 for now =>.
just my 2 cents tho.
keep it up! |

Breakbeat itself is lacking, and strange to the guitars.
Interesting vocals. However.. perhaps using them for the whole track isn't good. Have the chorus do something new perhaps?
Synth stab at 1:20 is okay. Nothing special, might want to try another approach.
The track is very slow for a breakbeat track, and the lack of motion is kind of apparent. Perhaps some more silence a bit earlier, and in the intro, to really hit home the significance of the drums and percs might be beneficial.
Interesting FX, that's for sure! I like. The guitar gets rather old around 2:45... try a filter, phaser, or another instrument backing it.
kk, you did the chorus thing I mentioned earlier, so disregard that comment; I like it now, it pulls the track together, but you still need to get the listener to this point.
More of the same, I'm at 5:16, and my interest is nearly zero at this point. Something needs to happen soon!!
There we go... a break to relieve the tension... err, the outro.
I wish the guitars would stop already.
6:04 < best part of the track. stick that around 1:45, I bet it will work wonders there.
Thanks for sharing. :) |

there's a reason for the breakbeat "lacking" as you said that...if I get that right you mean it should be more banging or booming out of the speakers, I think you're pretty much right but I wanted to combine chillout and breaks and in my opinion chillout has to have even some kinda "softer" sound.
Anyway, your points about re-structuring the song from the very beginning are just what I'm thinking about, I went too crazy and excited about the remix the first time. You know, you fall in love with a guitar recording and you put it to the whole track, cuz you just lost the focus. :) Thanks for your opinion, it was very helpfull :). |

Very cool song you have here man, enjoyed listening to this.
Few things I noticed:
()Didn't like the vocoding that much, hard to make out what she is singing.
()Breaks could maybe be a bit more upfront, not too much , just so you can hear them a bit clearer.
()That sitar sound is a bit too loud.
Apart from that I thought it was very good, the guitar is excellent, what did you use for it?
The vocals are excellent too, very clear sounding.
Haven't heard the original, but this is very good work. |

| guitar is live re-recorded by a friend of mine, so it's a real one. I didn't like the sound of the original guitar even when I did a loooooooot with it (EQing, compressions, amp modelings, etc.) so I found someone who'll be able to re-record identically :) |

Very nice beginning to this but when the vocal kicked in I'm not a fan of that, would probably sound better with the vocals left how they were. The guitars are great and the breakbeat works well also. I'd maybe like the percussion raised a little but just my preference really.
The vocal comes back in and I'm liking it much more now, sounds much better without the fx on it. Sounds much more clear now and the breaks work well with it. I might be wrong but I didn't hear any kind of panning in this track, maybe try some of that or more of that to add an extra dimension to the track. May just be my headphones though.
Overall good work, just needs a bit of tweaking really. Good stuff. |

Listening...
It moves a bit faster, the vocals are experimental, like it. the percussion and kick is great, breaks sound cool. Guitar work is good also. The vocals sound nice when there clear, the breakdown is nicely done.
At first the speed was a put off until it kicked in, the outro is nice. good stuff. |

Thanks guys, I'm already quite sure about what I will do, I will do the vocoding a bit different, that's the first thing.
The other things will include a re-structure so I can build a stronger climax and extra stereo effects :)
Thanks a lot to you all :) |
