virus in hotmail?

hey i tried to send an email to moral hazard and he said his work's firewall blocked it cuz i have a virus. i know my computer (our whole network has a little bug in our office and it's going to be fixed this weekend) has a virus on it, but is it possible to have a virus within my hotmail account??? how can i get rid of it? we have norton and i also run xsoft whatever it is all the time (same as adaware).
this guy i work with KINDA knows his about computers and he said i'm going to have to delete all my emails from my hotmail inbox but i'm sentimental and i like to keep all the mushy ones from my bf:( is this true? what else can i do to get rid of the virus?
any info is greatly appreciated! :D |

| Yea if there is a virus in your hotmail account itself then that means one of the emails you have in there is contaminated. The email with the virus will probably have an attachement. Delete all emails with attachments and send the ones from your BF to an alternate email address but scan them all first before opening them just to be sure its not one of them. |
