What I don't understand is that it's actually faster to learn what you want by searching. So why do people just ask first?

But in all fairness if you don't know the name of what your searching for, it can be quite hard.

Sidechaining compression is when u get a EQ in the compression making it more sensitive? :conf:

could i atleast get a preset for fl so i can test it in a tune im working on? everything is good to go except the bassline.
BOOsTER
I don't use FL...

but I thought I could shed some light on this.

Sidechain compression uses 2 audio signal for the benassi like effect you use one signal that is being compressed and one signal called sidechain. In this case compressed is bass, and sidechain is teh kick.

Sidechaining works so, that when the kick hits, the bass gets compressed to certain level.

so everytime the kick hits, it gets to the full volume and the bass gets lowered by the compressor.

hope you get at least a bit of it. I know that my explanation is not the best, I'm not native english speaker.

Dj Cola
me neither :D

hmm so you have to use the compressor in co-op with the kick?

how do you do that i fl every fl user? :D.

i think you put the "buzz" at compression (what compression lvl's or is that a etic question?) and the kick is some kind of volume indicator? how do you make that happen? :D i am kind of new with fruity loops so bare with me please.
BOOsTER
I use reason, so I can't advice here...

basically it's what you said and the level of compression is up to your desire...Benassi's Sidechain is pretty extreme at it...
