DJM-707 good mixer?

I read that pioneer has dicontinued this mixer. Any reason for this? I'm looking for a $300 mixer. I was thinking either this one or the DJM-300. It looks like the 707 is a much better mixer. Any thoughts?

P.S. Search does not allow three-character searches and it doesn't accept DJM707 cause it wants at least four alpha characters.

I doubt you will be able to find a 707 to purchase anyway. Might want to look at a different mixer.

Get the Gemini UMX SE. I believe it has the same faders. :) It costs about 200 euros.

I was using one the other day and it seems like a good solid basic mixer. But from the fetures it has it looks like i would get bored of it too quickly since its very limited.

It's the best mixer in it's pricerange. If you would buy a mixer with FX in this pricerange, well, you would get effects.

There you can get the mixer

thanks pinokio, they want $100 too much.
there is actually quite a few on ebay. i think i'm torn between the nuo2 and the 707. i have no interest in scratching, but i do want to be able to do in-headphone mixing. and of course clean sound is paramount. i dont understand how people can buy equipment that sounds muddy or clips whenever the gain is turned above 0db. we are all in this ultimatley for the sound.

Its a pretty good mixer but you may outgrow it quickly like I did. But it is a solid mixer nonetheless and does exactly what you need it to.

DJM-300 Cons:

A) BPM counters don't work very well
B) you can't see what is in cue when its bright out because the lights don't shine enough
C) the gain can only be adjusted to +6dbs which has made me run into volume problems at gigs:whip:
D) sound quality is poor with 80dbs of s/n ratio (with CD's) and .05 harmonic distortion
E) Price

Pros:
A) Very well built
B) Many cueing options: you can't do a split cue with the master in one ear and the cued channel in the other or blend channel two and one together(stereo) or have just channel one or channel two (stereo)

Thankfully you've got plenty of options for 300 dollars. The Vestax VMC004 which has 4 channels plus good reviews from this board. You are also left with the Denon DNX300 which is a two channel option which includes a top notch penny and giles crosfader and kill switches too.

yeah im pretty set on the cdj200s. i haven't seen any package deals with the cdj200s and 707 combined. there is an auction on ebay however. the guy wants $1100 for 2x cdj200s and a 707 plus 3 cases for the components. i really have no use for the cases cause i will set this up in my bedroom. and even if i wanted a case it would be a flight case that housed all three instead of individual cases. i think $800 or so would be a fair offer just for the equipment. the equipment is new and unused per the seller, but is not in the original boxes, etc. any thoughts?

well I'm also buying my equipment at the moment, i'm about to get a pair of cdj-200, and the mixer could be - DJM 300, Vestax VMC - 002 and Vestax VMC - 004.

I just oredered it about 8 days ago, but the place I ordered it was not real www.electronicscity.com.

Now I think I¡m gonna get it from www.djdeals.com, because i have heard form eveyroen that they are very good and trustable.

ask them for the better price, they can leave you the cdj-200 up to 335 $, and you cna ask for everythign else you want.

I might order tomorrow, Just gotta decide the mixer, but I just read that the vestax VMC -004 has the best soudn quality for that p`rice range, so maybe I get that one, or the vmc -002 if has the same quality, because the only visible difference I see on them, is that one has 4 channels and th eother one 2 channels.

Good Luck =)
