Hi guys. Me and my mate are putting on a party at this little venue near where we live. basically its nothing serious just an excuse to have a party, we know the venue owners so we only have to pay for the bouncers and for flyers. anyway the idea is that all of our friends will be there, as well as anyone else who fancies it, we will be playing house, techno and some dnb at the end. so anyway if any of you guys live around the leicestershire area and fancy coming along you are more than welcome.

| Did anyone go Jigsaw@The Venue (for cancer research) a couple of years back? awesome night That club is good as good and as big as the superclubs like Passion and Godskitchen and the only place in the City where they could hold some really good nights. It's a shame there haven't been any other decent events since :( |

im new to leicester so not familiar with that place. after the first night at bambu if everything goes well we are guna try and get a venue like the attik, i went there the other night and its a really cool place, small but mental. the thing about bambu is there wont be much in the way of fancy lights etc, itll be more like a house party than anything else, apart from the fact that it will ahve a bar! but i cant wait i think its guna be fun! |

The attik is very small but a cool venue. There is a psy-trance/hard dance night called 'Trancemisson' held there every couple of months. I think that the next one is on January 28th (damn!)
The best venue in the city is probably Starlight on Wharf street. I Haven't been for a good while now but when I used to go regually the music policy was good but the place was always nearly empty and full of Ben Sherman types solely going to get as wasted on pills as possible. Nothing wrong with the odd pill imo, but I don't think many people really cared about the music which was sad.
By the way if you need any free assistance in orginising anything for the event I'll be glad to help out, just let me know ;) |
