so i'm getting my mom a dvr for her birthday in 3 weeks and wanted some feedback from you guys.

she's always recording barbara walters interviews and like that and then she makes me watch them with her and i can't stand watching them period, but on VHS it makes it that much worse. my mom's pretty tech-savvy so she'll be excited.

can i get a good dvd-r or dvd-rw in the $200 range?

what brands should i look at and which should i stay away from?

thanks for any help CORe whores! :tongue2 :toothless

Ooooh oohh man now I remember what a DVR is. I had me a DVR once. She was seventeen feet long if she was a foot. Twice as tall as an average man and eight times as heavy, she was. Her buttresses were made of solid tritanium, ten inches thick. Why, she was the marvel of the town, especially after she saved little Timmy from drowning in the lake. Of course, back then DVR's would run you in the range of about 20,000-30,000 bucks American. Your mother is a lucky woman though. A DVR. Hehe. Now that brings back memories.
