DJing in Amsterdam - A guide for a brazilian

Hi people

I'm going to Amsterdam this year, to spend 6 months over there.

Since I'm a DJ here in Brazil, and I wouldn't like to stop playing, I was wondering if you guys could point out which clubs would be best to apply to, and if would be difficult to get a dj position over there.

Thanks for all answers,

Joh

First, we have a special thread for foreign people. ( yes we are all racists ;) )

Would be very hard to get a place behind the booth. What period you're coming to Holland?

getting a dj spot?

oh well you have to have some much luck and knowing the right people! Even if you throw your own party you will have so much competition since there are too many parties!

Best way nowadays is to produce a hit-record

getting a dj spot in one of the big clubs will take a little more than 6 months

Maybe if you release some huge track you will get noticed.
