Laptop DJ-ing is already a huge issue, we all know that. But with this new technology new potential problems also sees the world.
I don't know if this has been discussed before or not, but are there any known stories about parties and events being killed due crashed PC's? Most of the times a restart is all it takes, but those 2-3 minutes can be devestating, especially if you don't bring a few backup CDs/vinyls.
Has anyone of you experienced such, or been at a party where this has happened? Share your stories :) |

| a quick solve is...dont' use that laptop for anything else. then the processor will be optimized for better use. second...have either some vinyl or cds readily available in the case you need to restart. |

| Yes, of course a clean hard drive minimizes the chance of a crashes, but you'll never be 100% out of risk zone, what ever you do. Your power adapter might get lost/malfunction wich can cause a dead battery in zero time. What if PvD or Sasha shows up in the States and forget to bring an adapter to the power cord? I just want to hear some scandals and idiotic stories, such as DJ's playing counter strike while spinning. You get the message :) |

Reminds me of tiesto in concert belgium.
Skin - Faithfulness (Tiesto rmx) was playing and suddenly ... no music.
Tiesto's face was priceless =)
Anyway, he interacted with the public and everybody was singing, after 4 minutes the music was back.
I don't think you have got many options being in that situation :) |

I guess they didn't include that in the DVD? :) |

DVD only uses vids from TIC holland :(
When you see the 3 different playlists, it's obvious TIC hasselt was the best. (when you exclude the extra hour full of classics he played in holland. But hey, he spun a lot of classics during the set in belgium: carte blanche, universal nation, voyage, Die Another Day (DJ Tiësto Dedicated Remix) --> not a classic but still :eyespop: ) |

| When I saw Infected Mushroom, their laptop crashed during their live act. It wasn't too bad, as they were slated to have a DJ set after their live set, so they just started the DJ set early. |
