VONYC WAV File Quality Problems

Has anybody noticed issues in the quality of VONYC WAV files?
On a number of the tracks I've bought there is very loud clicking. I'm assuming this was introduced as part of the audio imbedded signature (DRM) they added to the file. It makes the track unusable.
On top of the quality issues with the WAV you have to wait for the track to be prepared. You can't just get it right away like with Beatport or Audio Jelly. In this case I had to wait 3 days and now I have to contract the support team and plead for a new copy.
I'm sick and tired of DRM. VONYC is another example of DRM hassling paying customers. I end up buying fewer tracks.

the truth is: shipping the wav files IS CHEAPER
reason: the $1 download fee at a certain point will cost more than the wav handling fee plus shipping
if you only buy them a couple at a time, then download them
but if you need/can afford to buy approximately 64 tracks you will start saving by shipping
try it for yourself... put about 64 tracks in your cart, and compare the price of downloading wavs and shipping
then add more tracks to your cart... and then you will start saving quite a bit of money
cheers

about 64 tracks....
beyond approx 64 tracks.. it is cheaper to have them shipped
keep in mind i live in canada
if you live in the US it will likely be quite a bit less than 64 tracks
anywhere else in the world... probably similar to me in canada
just think of it this way
when you download a wav file off of beatport you have a variable cost of $1 per track
when you do a mail order you have a variable cost (wav handling cost) of much less than $1 per track and you have a fixed shipping cost
The moral of the story: If you want to save big, you need to order big! |

Great discussion, I hadn't thought of that. |

Haha, yeah I was amazed at how much more downloading the songs would cost me. I just started to totally replace my vinyls.. so I had a huge order.. nearly 200 tracks.. It cost almost $100 to download it than if I had them shipped.
On VONYC, how do buy wave files? I don't see any options for this. I want to try it out. |
