| I also got a ticket for a 130km/hr ticket in a 90km/hr zone on the don valley parkway north right before the 401. However, I have a PA drivers license. I am studying temporarily here till the end of the year. The ticket has my U.S. address not my Canadian address. What would be the point in me paying this if points aren't involved? I would like to come back in 2007 to visit- will border people know I have an unpaid ticket in Toronto? |

Points do not affect your insurance
Demerit points are used by the Ministry in determining if you're allowed to have a license...too many and they revoke/suspend it.
Your insurer looks only at convictions...there are minor and major convictions...points don't matter.
Fight it to save a few bucks, to avoid the demerit points and to hopefully have the charge dropped to a lower offense. |

Incorrect.....any infraction...including speeding tickets affects your insurance....if you speed you are considered a higher risk and therefore fall into a different category....yes you are right the points don't really matter as it's the infraction itself however, if you have lost your licence or it has been revoked then good luck getting insurance with anyone other than facility. |

Why? Because you can't accept blame for your mistakes and you are hoping to get out of it. Personally, I think if you loose your fight then you should have to pay all court costs. If you don't want to get speeding tickets then don't speed. That is the problem with society today....no one wants to take blame for the they do.....when you screw up and get caught then accept your punishment. |

i got arrested on dvp a week ago
i was going 137 in a 90 and charged with dangerous driving
funny thing is i was driving there last night and i was going 110 and at that exact same spot there was 2 cruisers at around 3am
its 2 bridges before lawrence exit and the road becomes straight without any turns so people tend to put the foot on gas |

Holy , aren't you ever going to learn how to drive?
After all the you've posted on here, at this point you deserve to be labelled high-risk. |

But if you know you are speeding then accept the fact that you got caught. Typical though....can't take responsibility for your actions.....how I hate what society is turning into |
