That was one hell of a night.... kind of expected it to be like last time when I was lounging until 2am when Ferry came on. Totally different this time. The opening DJ was blowing the roof off when I got there at 12... I looked toward the DJ booth at around 1:30am and already saw Ferry playing.. earlier appearance than last time.
The music for the whole night was top notch. I was dancing pretty much throughout the whole night... sometimes would get tired and sit down and in a few minutes the music would go insane again and I couldn't help but dance.
Downside: $6 water. WTF?
Last time water cost $1... nice price hike. |

You didn't pay $1 at Crobar ever. The cheapest water's been since I've started going there is $5 and I noticed that the price went up at PvD in April. |

That wasn't a bathroom attendant tip for a refill, was it. ;)
Occasionally, I've gotten a free water, usually it's free Stoli & Red Bulls because of my typical bar tab total and they comp. Normally, though, $6 is the price for a poland spring.
The club has to make some money off of the people who aren't drinking alcohol, but doing substances that disallow alcohol consumption. Otherwise, they're not filling the club with profits, which is the goal of a successful business, as is necessary to justify the investment required in creating and running a club. |

really glad to hear everyone had a great time. unfortunately i couldnt say the same. i like ferrys older style. his new style doesnt seem to fit him well IMO. i like his trancey sets vs last nights harder style. the beats were good but it isnt i am accustomed to from him. or maybe im just completely wrong. to me some of his beats seemed repetitive..i was completely sober this time around. still had fun though. left early at around 4am.
the downside to the night? annoying little punk kids doing dance offs and pushing each other. they had this one kid that literally looked right out of that tv show "so you think you can dance" he sucked and it sucked to watch him do it all over the whole night challenging people and going up to them and doing ridiculous hand signals and gestures in their faces. then there was this guy on speed who was flailing his arms like crazy and i thought he was gonna hit me. he had a 15 foot circle all to himself fearing that people were gonna get hit by him. then you had kids doing glowsticks and throwing them at each other.
my friend wouldnt stop getting hit on. she just wnated to dance and every damn guy walking by her had to say something or try something.
i like ferrys cds though. cant wait for armin./ |

I'm doubting it was recorded. I have yet to see a recorded set come out of Crobar.
Glad you guys had fun. I had an awful day at work, so I made the decision not to go out because I knew I was already pissed, would get wasted, and the night wouldn't end well. |
The last time cox was at crobar, sirius recorded his set and played an hour of it a week later. Thats the only one i've ever seen though from crobar |

great set - some ferry-tracks, not sorted!
u2 - new years day (ferry corsten remix)
ferry corsten - galaxia
u2 - where the streets have no name (nu nrg remix)
system f - out of the blue
varacocha - carte blanche
system f - cry
ferry corsten - rock your body, rock!
ferry corsten - fire (flashover mix)
suny lax - puma
filterheadz - catagena
filterheadz - santiago
mirco de govia - vital spark
mode hookers - breathe (sander van doorn remix)
guiseppe ottaviani - linking people (marc van linden remix)
will remeber some mor later, i guess.
all in all perfect buildup. starting with new melodic and uplifting trancers, in between some stompers of course than going to his own productions (almost the whole night ;)) playing his more electro/techy-stuff and the filterheadz-traxx and afterwards more than an hour full of ferry-classics! a brilliant birthday-present with kind of review of all the trance-classics that crossed our way! :)

I believe a Roger Sanchez set from Crobar is also out. Not to mention, Jollins recorded one of his sets there as well. |
