Hi,
I brought this a while back now but ive listened to drums on other tracks and drums from this and they are good but they dont seem to sound right when i put them in the mix is there a certain degree of eq needed? ive been told not to compress them as they have been compressed already. Also is there a certain area of eq which is applied?
Thanks |

| Never had any problems with them not fitting in the mix, and I don't compress and eq them as well. (at least nog the separated samples) |

| hm, I always edit them.. I always take to different kicks and merge them together with eq and compressing, I think it gives better kicks.. I've never liked the original ones tho.. |

I use like 2 or 3 Vengeance kicks and layer them, after that I eq them and after that I eq the resulting single kick, perhaps some compression...
I am a perfectionist when it comes to kicks
a good kick can make the differance, don't underestimate its power |

+1 This is a the best way to use them by far.
With the amount of kicks avalible your not going to run out of options. Also I compress the kick after EQ. ( the finnished kick not all 3 samples ) |
