i started producing like 4-5 moths ago, though i never finished a track. i start a project and work on it for 3-4 maybe 5 days (2-3 hours a day) and after that i stop.

i have ideeas but after working on it for a few days i think it sucks and there is no point in finishing it. maybe i get too "intime" with the sound or somethin i don't know, or maybe it does suck.

anyway here's my latest project. i have doubts this is worth finishing.

so, is it just me or it actualy sucks? maybe i listened to it too many times.

thanks!

it doesnt suck it needs more percs and a brighter bass. what it doesnt need is that reversed sound to be that loud. the strings could use a low end more so it gets "power". you need a real break for that piano/synth coming in at 2:00. i would try to give the piano "more drive" to give the whole tune more of it.

cheers great tune otherwise, nice full sound.

thanks for the suggestions. ;)

Dude, I feel like that all the time, so bad that I have been workign sometimes full time over a track during days and one day I just listen to it and I say, god this is real bad and I delete it lol ...
Now, listening to ur tune :), I concur about the reversed sound should be more into the background, the bass is good but I think it has way much low freqs and sounds a bit, really bit dirty imo.
Interesting pads, Kick and Clap sound full and nice :).
In overall is going really nice, good buidup, waiting to listen to the full version, good job keep it up ;).
Kopi =o.

Give that reversed sound some more reverb is a big size and 3-5s delay. Get it really far in the background and it'll sound sweet. The bass I feel is too weak and it doesn't really drive the track like I think it should. That's just my opinion. I could really see that tune going really great as an uplifting tune if you build it up until about 4:30 mins or so and go from there. Good luck and see where that track brings you.

thanks for the comments everyone, i'll check the bass and the reversed sound. good to see someone doesen't think it sucks hehe.

This is actually pretty good, you've come a long way in those couple of months... I agree with those other suggestions, and maybe work a litlle on the percs... I don't really like that open hat, sounds to preset'ish, if you change it, you will discover how those details like hihat actually can make a track sound alot better/worse..

And that melody is great!:eek: I really like that one..

As long as you keep starting some new tracks you will keep progressing and learning new techniques.

Quite a few producers around here have been producing for several years (5-6 years for me) and i'm still far from being at a professionnel level. So if you've only been producing for a few months, i'd suggest being patient and spending lots of time working on lots of new tracks :)
