ive had my Virus Ti about a month now ...boy does it suck.it had the latest 1.08 software in it...but it still is SO buggy its totally unusable.. It si the kb version and sicne i got it the keys physically do not work. (waiting to return it).....but also the timing and alot of other things do not work....half the time the vsti does not load properly (no sound)......also i get stuck sounds ALL the time.....the thing is a total nightmare.........if it would work the way it should it would be THE BEST...but no luck so far...anyone else with similar problems??

That's sad to hear. Got two friend that both have the desktop versions, and they have very little problems. It loads up fine, and stuff,. and they use it all the time. A I myself was at their homes playing on the units, and i love it.. Maybe you just got a abd unit.. It happens in this world :)

I had a few problems, but with the latest OS they have been cleared up for the most part. I still don't like using the VST since it occasionally has behaved badly. Everything works fine without using the VST though. Have you tried to get ahold of Access support? There are several Access engineers who post in this other forum and have been really good about helping people w/ their problems.

Check out :

If you help work with the engineers so they can replicate your problems, they can perhaps fix them. The problem is that during development they don't have every hardware and software configuration out there, so people need to report their problems in detail to get them ironed out.

Think about this....the virus C was on OS 6.03 or something along those lines, and the TI is only at 1.08. Of course there are tons of products out there that reach maturity very early on, but a HW + VST synth that is used across many DAWs and with all sorts of other HW components takes time to iron out problems.

Maybe you should get a virus C if you don't want to wait until the bugs get ironed out on the TI, but there are many users of the TI who don't have problems any longer. I don't regret trading in my C for a TI at all, since all of the other new features make up for not having the VST working properly now.

yea,

after messing around with my virus ti for a lil bit and updating the os, i was able to fix my problems.

the main one with timing and buffering issues i fixed when changing my pci board latencies. access sent me some helpful advice on all that after i contacted them. i never knew that even the video card can affect pci latencies which in turn mess with the virus.

anyways... the only problem that i have now is a bug in Logic 5.5.1 which prevents my multipart vst to act different individually. and there's really nothing i can do about that until i update to logic 7 or something

3ghz, 2gb ram, SB Audigy 4, newest OS and my TI still gets hanging notes and gets out of sync with keyboard when tweaking while playing. That's only while in VSTi mode, but still pretty annoying.
