for more natural stuff, i still use samples. i can't find anything to match. for more electronic stuff... mostly z3ta
Lunar Phase 7
I find simple synths work best, that pressure one looks cool too!

3Osc
DX10
TS404

All seem to work really well.

if you don't know what im talking about lemme explain:
If you make leads or whatever, you can't hear them because the filter is fully open. But when I create basses with vstation I hear clicks which shouldnt be there (Some kind of clicky sound in the 8000 hz range or something, which shouldnt be there because the filter should be cutting sounds above 2000 hz or something). This is why i dont use v station for basses, only for leads...

This is common among a lot of synths both hardware and software...it is due to the envelops being very fast.
Axolotyl
Albino and VB-1 for more of a plucked bass sound. Vanguard or AR Bassline for something sounding a bit more synthetic. I also use the vanilla compressor... works a treat for pumping basslines.

novation v-station all the way.

For my trance-projects i use a lot of Albino 2, but often in combination with z3ta+. :)

But, recently I've done a lot of other non-trance projects. I've come to appreciate M-Audio Drum&Bass more and more. It has authentic drumsets and a good selection of accustic basses. Much better for regular pop and rock than Trilogy in my opinion. But, hey... it's just me! :)

id have to give my vote to mr tweakbench's pressure, haven't come across anything that gives a fatter sound yet. also a big fan of albino 2

Funny I see alot about V-Station. That's exactly what I was going to say. I find myself using it almost exclusively for Bass. And it's the first synth I've started programming my own sounds on (basses of course - a nice starting point for sound creation).
