tiesto the fragrance would smell like vick's and old spice and sweat, that nasty smell that festers in a club that is way overcrowded.
I have an older 128 MB creative player. It holds about as much music as a cd but in mp3 format. I don't have any complaints about it, I don't need a player with a color screen or programs that organize my collection for me and I'm a broke ass college student who can't afford high end stuff anyway. I listen to it while I'm walking between classes, it holds enough music to keep me entertained for a day then I can go home and switch it out for different stuff sitting on the computer.
Having said that I don't know anybody that would see the tiesto logo as added value and buy this thing, I have a hard time figuring out who would want this besides mp3 collectors who are tiesto fans, and there aren't many of those left anymore, at least in the sections of the internet that I visit I rarely meet them anymore.
If I had the money I would get the neuros 2, it isn't out yet but it looks like a video ipod equivalent except more open to user tinkering and stuff. I collect alot of ameteur music these days and so much of it comes in ogg vorb that I would really like a player that can work with oggs and is not fettered with DRM. |

I highly doubt it, The Ipod has consistently beaten the competition in regards to sound quality, taking examples of reviews in Which? magazine and What MP3 player magazine, and others such as Stuff etc....face it, what you are against is the popularity of the ipod, no harm going with the crowd if you are buying the best ;) |
you're kidding right? :wtf:
ipods have lost every ing test i've ever seen on sound quality. and these tests are done by professionals with professional equipment to measure things (tests done by finnish INDEPENDENT magazines). the frequency graphs (of wtf they're called in english) for ipods have always looked worse than those of the competitors and the guys from the magazines have commented that ipods don't really sound that good.
seriously what is the ipod better in than "other players" besides looks? i can't think of anything TBH.
i'm against ipods because they're not good, not because they're popular, period.

On Ipod:
When I am buying a mp3 player I look for space which is a must as I have load GBs of seulment trance, and I do listen to all of them and not just few favorites. So 60 GB + looks + normal 'but not a superman' battery life = buy for me.
Also Ipod is so popular that you do get a lot of additional accessories options which is not their in case of other mp3 players. Eg: I can connect my ipod to my car stereo and play it, my car stereo plays mp3 directly from my ipod, no need of any CDs.
On Tiesto:
I dont hate him, I just dont like his music anymore, let me tell you I was a die hard fan of tiesto and did created 'Tiesto is God' thread when I was a n00b, believe me.
Tiesto brought me to the trance world, I started to like trance when i first listened to his tracks and I thank him for that. |

| some people raise a good point though that this can be considered an attempt to elevate even more the status of the person. that being said, they run the risk of having their music suffer as their fandom increases and mainstream presence. this goes for every artist in any genre, not just tiesto, although in this case we're focussing on tiesto. |
