| I'm looking for an new apartment. Any have good luck with online sites for searching? Do you use more traditional methods like newspaper, drive tru neighborhoods and write down numbers, or use a realtor? I've looked tru craigs list and just signed up for rent.com. |

if you live near a college, you can also try looking in their off-campus apt. listings (some schools only allow them to be viewed by students while others leave them free for outsiders to browse). edit - that's how i found my first apt, browsing a school's open-to-the public web site; got my second apt. via word-of-mouth.
friends and acquaintances have been successful with craigslist, driving through neighborhoods and word-of-mouth, so i'd try those before dealing with grubby realtors or pay-sites. |
