feeling --karmically challenged--? if not you should be.

here it is, first mix of the new year...

made for my new weekly at limoncello in ft. lauderdale, -karmically challenged- is an eclectic mixture of underground house, with a touch of acid, tribal, and some big floor funkiness.

so, go ahead, give -karmically challenged- a spin.

tracklist looks a little poppy.. could be a good car cd.. wake me up in the mornings.. will check out when i get home...

however i can't agree with the inclusion of ghets noch in any mix... the bastard child of minimal techno... the "crossover"

yeah, it is a tad bit poppy. the weekly for which i made it really doesnt hold much underground weight. i kinda wanted to begin to slowly work the sounds of acid and electro into these ppl who only ever heard 'radio' dance music... and, little by little, i hope to phase it the majority of the recognizable out. train them to like a hot groove for what it is.... a damn fine thing to dance to.

i AM working on a nice acidic house mix as well...

thanks for listening.

boooooooyaaawww! good one mate!

funnay intro.. "..take a steam bath with tiesto.." :haha:

really enjoy the mix mate. very different overall sound from what i've heard before but it works well. sure a lot of it is poppy, was ment for the radio, but a lot of the tracks share a similar energetic electro-ish house style. it's nice that while you through down a lot of poppy tunes you break it up with some more beat'n'bass focus stuff.

5. habersham - dryspell

highlight^^ great fukkin tune.

11. cream vs the hoxtons - sunshine of your love

also quite an interesting one.

very well done, i always like your style d. you know how to throw down the good unique house while keeping it fresh and entertaining.
can't wait for your acidic house mix, cheers.

the intro is hilarious... i bought d2's - bad habits thinking.. ehhhh. early on this will be fun, deep dark, rumbly, then i flipped it to check other mixes and WHAM! that is the funniest thing i had heard in a long time.

and habershams 'dryspell' i have been waiting for months to find a cd worth putting it on. love it, funky, quirky.... just amazing

i was really proud of this mix... especially because i did it while working at karma records.... talking to people, suggesting records, adn disciplining the house dog.... what a place
