Yup ....check the florida forums and you'll find some trasheads there. I have heard his "Live in Vancouver" disc and its mostly florida breaks. I think he does stuff with Johnny Cage(?) who is from Louisiana..... |

I'm from Lafayette, and I grew up listening to DJ Trashy. His real name is David Landry. I had the opportunity to meet this guy in person, and he was very friendly.
He spins breakbeats. He owns a record label called Sanitary Soundz and has done collaborative work with many other DJ's including Johnny Cage, Malicious Mike, Sky-Hi, DJ Tekk, & DJ Digital. Visit his myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/sanitarysoundz
He got famous in Louisiana by remixing all kinds of pop music in the late 90's. One such track in particular is Astroline - Close My Eyes. After gaining recognition and respect from the town of Lafayette, he then expanded his fame by touring back n' forth (and still tours to this day) from south Louisiana nightclubs and Florida nightclubs. He then went on to produce original music with various colleagues of his.

As a matter of fact, I kindly asked some of his clique to take me under their wing and teach me a few things (he was a major inspiration), as I started learning to DJ. I was met with dismissal and a few choice rude comments. Ever since, it's left me with a bad taste of him and his peers.

| i recently heard of him looking around for bootlegs.came across his remix of sm traxx- got the groove.i didnt realize it was a breakbeat track so it didnt fit in with any of my sets.but the effort put into the track was decent. |

I get that, but I was hoping the email account he registered with here would send him an email telling him that someone responded to his old thread with actual USEFUL information, rather than the kind of sarcastic remarks that drive people away from these forums.
But I guess you wouldn't have much of a life if you didn't sit on the edge of your seat eagerly waiting to be a douche on an internet forum. (Something your kind is slowly turning me into.) |
