Haha..especially not in the pictar thread!
Though for the most part...there ARE a lot of hotties here, so I don't think anyone's doing anybody else any favours by returning compliments.
I think that perhaps it's just that a lot of people don't know how to accept a compliment graciously...so the tendency is to deflect the attention away from oneself. |

i used to be good friends with this chick who I thought was very pretty, but my ex and his friends didn't think so and would always give me for "not having hot friends"...but whatever, i thought she was pretty. she WAS kinda heavy though and had big teeth (like the kind some of those beauty queens have when they smile ur just like DAAMN), but overall, she was definitely not ugly.
anyway, she would always say, "omg u look prettier than me, ur so skinny, i hate u, bla bla bla" every time i'd show up to her place when we were going out. i hated that. it's like how am i supposed to respond to that?? i would sit there and reassure her OVER AND OVER that she looked hot and that she was pretty, and yada yada.
she ended up being a big slut and we stopped hanging out. my ex told me he recently ran into her with her boyfriend (sweetest guy ever) and she was wasted and tried to kiss my ex after her boyfriend left the club and she gave my ex her number and was like, "call me"

i hate that ... i never know what to say when people start complimenting me for being skinny. like wtf does it matter, being skinny doesn't mean you're hot... it's all about how you carry yourself.
i found a new excuse to tell people tho when they ask me why i'm so skinny...
