1-i am about to reformat my Toshiba laptop. it came with a recovery disk, but no XP disk. i called them up and they said that XP is on the recovery disk and that after i do that the computer will be just like when i first got it. does this sound right? any other toshiba users know? i also have an XP disk that i can use if this isnt right.
2-i have backed up my files and i am in the process of backing my my favourites on Mozilla. i just saved the whole Mozilla folder on the other hard drive. will this save everything and then when i am finished reformatting, can just move it over, or will i have to reinstall it all over again? i dont want to lose my book marks.
3-next stupid question...when they say drivers they mean all the CDs that i got with my programs, i.e. nero, office etc., right?
thanks in advance, i am new to reformatting. i have had the computer for 2 years, it is time for a reformat. |

1 - recovery cds have the XP with the proper drivers for your toshiba
2 - you will have to reinstall your software, but you can backup your settings...
3 - it means it will restore the unit as it was when purchased |
