Logitech recently released the G5 (or something) keyboard. It had a seperate pad for any number of commands, which mainly tailored to MMORPG players. Then an LCD screen with plenty of programs to what appears in the screen. One example would be Counter-strike stats such as score, bullets in chamber, number of clips, etc.

Almost too soon is the Optimus keyboard. Almost exactly the same, except every single key has an LCD display. When you are using a word processor, the keyboard looks the same with all the alphabets/numbers/etc. As you see in the link, during games it may change into arrows or an icon for different weapons.

so ya. how big is your e-penis

When it drops in price. :p
SuspicionVandit
to me, it's no gimmick. I think this is going to be the new standard as it gets more affordable
kofrad
thats amazingly cool. once the price drops, i'm getting one. it'd be cool if programs started to come with their own key-map things for that. would make learning new game controls much easier.

Taking another small step from its sump of vapor, the Optimus Maximus keyboard is now ready for pre-pre-order. Beginning May 20th at 1500 Moscow time (0700 New York), Art. Lebedev will publish the keyboard's detailed specs and start accepting "limited pre-orders" for their $1,536 OLED keyboard. Regardless of that hefty price, we wouldn't be surprised to see all 400 keyboards available in December sell-out faster than a corporate rock star
