Okay, so here's my problem:
I get a JP-8080 and there's a broken potentiometer on it. The main Volume pot (the knob device) is broken. This is on priority level MEDIUM to fix. I think this might have to do with problem 2. The hiss and hum. The hiss and hum aren't from the grounding because I have successfully grounded it but I'm not sure about dirty power. Maybe it is dirty power. By the way, there's more hiss than hum. The hiss is annoying and I would love to get rid of it. Maybe it's the potentiometer. But if anyone could help me I would be more than grateful! Thanks!

(PS: What kind of pot is on the JP-8080? I really wish I could order (before my friend takes out the chip) it so my friend Fred can replace it  He can do that! ) |

This question is best suited for "Production" forums, which should be really renamed to "JP-8xxx forums".
