Eh, the F430 to me is a boring design. It's as if they borrowed Porsche's design department for this one. "Alright guys, slightly freshen up the front end, and aw it, just slap the Enzo's ass on here."
Okay that's a bit more than Porsche's design guys do. For the 997 911, they said: "Alright, new headlights. Just make them round, like the 930s were. *scribble scribble* Great job everybody, this will be the most revolutionary 911 yet! Let's go do lines of coke off of strippers' asses just before lunch."
The 599GTB looks like this to me:

And I love it. |

its for the cheap ass rich who can afford a great car, but will go for the totoya/lexus because it will last:wtf: |
I missed this originally, and I think its pretty silly. The Lexus LS cars are superior in nearly every way to their overly-complex German rivals. iDrive? Worst implementation of a multi-menu system ever. Don't even get me started on Mercedes' build quality lately. Piss-poor. There's a reason why Lexus is and has been the #1 selling luxury brand in North America for 6 years running (source: http://www.aiada.org/article.asp?id=55507).
The only thing the Germans have going for them is perceived superiority and V12 engines, of which very, very few vehicles sold have them. I've only ever seen one BMW 750/760 on the road in all my years. The rest are 740is and 745is. 90% of S-Classes I see are S430s. Rarely do I see an S500, and never an S600. |

i'm not even trying to compare gadgetery... i'm comparing percieved luxury. Japanese luxury has nothing on European luxury.
I don't even know if Japanese luxury exist. |
