Help me! Hotel distance - How far

How far is the Bell Centre from the Palais de Congres? Or more specifically, the Best Western Ville Marie Montreal to the Palais de Congres?
Is that where Bal en Blanc is going to be again?
I'm looking to book a hotel for 3 or 4 nights (Friday or Saturday to the Tuesday), so I can show my hubby your fabulous city (yes, I'm buttering you up, but I've been there many times, and to Swirl, and LOVE IT!)
Right now the cheapest rate is $109 (there's 92 but with no cancellation policy).
Can anyone make any suggestions? I know the HO JO across from the Palais is gone.

| No info on where Beb is yet, but the Bell Centre is a small cab ride away...prob like 8$ or something.If its not too cold 15 minutes by foot. |

stayed at the Sheraton downtown MTL last year its like a 5 minute drive from the Palais de congres!!
very nice hotel too! |
