nightmares (pg. 2)

I once had a dream about a guy who was so angry, and I tried to calm him down, but he wouldn't, and he tried to fight me, and I just couldn't do anything to get him to stop.

And the same day, in real life (Not a dream), there was a guy who accused me of egging and scratching his car. I didn't know him, and I know I didn't do it, and I had a good aliby, but the guy wouldn't stop accusing me, threatning to shoot me with a gun, and he said he would get his boys after me.

True ing story, it was the wierdest thing EVER!

I agree, nightmares are great. My worst nightmares involve me running in slow motion to escape my pursuer and eventually I end up getting shot in the stomach. It's not painful and I never die but, it scares the crap out of me. Also, I feel down stairs alot. Not like tumbling downstairs but, like I just go flying 6 six-feet out over a flight of stairs and I fall in slo-mo 20 feet to the ground below. I never hit bottom though either, it's the flailing, hanging in air impending crash that is so scary.

I don't enjoy nightmares at all, or even bad dreams really.

I do like pleasant or normal dreams a lot. Like you said, it seems so real. In fact, according to "Lucid Dreams" by Stehpen LaBerge, phd, dreaming is the closest you can come to experiencing something without actually experiencing it. Your brain waves, respiratory rate, heart rate, etc, etc during dreams very closely mimick the real deal.

I have had very limited success with lucid dreaming myself. (Lucid dreaming is becoming aware that you are dreaming and then controlling the dream, flying, etc)

i beat up some guy who owned a indoors pool because my mother made too big waves and got banned from bathing. he also wouldnt let me jump in the stairs. in my dreams, of course.

i really hated that guy. maybe not a nightmare though :D

I hate really COOL dreams that you wish are real, but can never really happen.

False hopes... Thanks brain!

I don't see how you could enjoy me; i'm far from good.

Seriously though. I've had one nightmare in my entire life. It affected me for hours after I woke up. Not a typical 'scary boogeyman monster killer' nightmare. In fact, i'd say that most people would have had no problem with this particular dream had they also dreamt it. It just touched on something in my own psyche, something deep, something I had previously presumed to have come to terms with.

This is not really a nightmare but, anyone get these things when like your half a sleep and half awake, like, about to go to sleep, your laying on one side, and then you slowly turn to the other side, and WOAH, you feel like your about to fall of the bed, and im like all freaked out, but then i realize im still on it...happenes to me alot... :wtf:

:stongue: But they were never there in the first place :(

And probobly for 5 minutes after I wake up, I actually think the dreams were real, as the day goes by I think, "Wtf? That crazy isn't real"

Wow Ygrene, I've had really similar dreams! A lot of the time when I'm running from something in my dreams I just feel like it's in suuch slow motion and that it's a shock they haven't caught me yet! I haaate that feeling of running at full speed and it's still mega slow...so weird.

I never remember my dreams anymore. Once in a while I remember one in the morning and then I really try to hang on to it, but by the end of the day I usually still forget.

I had a dream a little while back that I was chilling on a boat with my grandfather who died 8 years ago, which was actually really cool because I felt like we were actually shooting the together. And I know some people would've been all like "OMG THE SPIRIT CAME TO ME IN MY DREAM" but I was just like yeah, I had a dream.
