Hi all..
as i've heard.. scratching vinylz can really warp the record.., but lately i've seen alot of dj'z just really go rough on the record & scratch like hell... does it really warp the vinyl'z that badly?.. or should u just avoid doing it often?..

no it won't warp the record, but it does wear down the grooves. especially if you don't have good needles. so you should avoid it as prolonged scratching will make the music sound bad.
allot of djs for some reason don't care for their records as much as they should. if you don't care for your vinyll it'll start to sound bad, and if you plan on keeping your records around... |

I use the Ortofon DJ (blue) carts and they're good for mixing and scratchin.......id imagine the nightclubs are top notch as well. :) |

| scratching is one way to chew your records up pretty fast. Personally, most DJs that I've seen that scratch tend to way over scratch. It gets very annoying, if you ask me. |
