Creating percussion samples

Hey, im looking for percussion generating vsts that are intended for producing one shot samples of drums or fx sounds.
(such as "waldorf attack")

Wondering if eny of you create there own samples, and can help me out.

you can even have some serious fun with the synths in Reason, like Malstrom which does a great job here...

once I heard that Mike Oldfield made his kicks for a song from short samples of bass guitar tones. So i tried using the grains from Bass in malstrom and made a good envelope, put on some filter, a scream for body simulation and a great kick came out.

you can also make all the hats and maracases from white/pink noise and so on. it's mostly a matter of setting up the envelope right, also when you use malstrom you can add a moving comb filter + let the index knob move (by matrix or an LFO, as you prefer) and get some BTesque granulized percussion sounds.

Basically you can make at least half-decent percussion samples with any synthesizer...
