| Is it normal for any audio connection to create a very small amount of noise. I have a virus plugged in my sound card and there is a small amount of noise, very very subtle, but if you boost it 10db you can clearly hear it. What should I do to remove this, is it my cables? |

| Yes, this is the main major problem in a studio. To avoid the noise i use good quality balanced cables between all hardware things, but this is not enough, i also use an hardware noise reduction unit, Behringer SNR 2000, it's very eficient. The noise is not noticeable when the unit has the power button turned on :) |

Its also important to make sure everything is being supplied with good clean power, not just for sound quality but so your equipment doesnt get f*ked. Power conditions + Surge protectors = important for anything you plug in to the wall that you value!
Especialy audio equip. |

| it is best to seperate computer+screen & possible lights from the audio power supply to reduce noise. |
