They rename it so that more people download it?
Or is it that they give one file different names so that their list looks longer? :conf: |

One of my amateur productions was 'ripped' by a release group once as a track by Vimana (an alias of DJ Tiesto and Ferry Corsten). Some people believed it was by them, too! |

Stop this Tiesto bashing now! Tiesto has done a number of original productions. Like "Barber's Adagio for Strings"... Or.. or.. or... um... can't think of anything ATM. But I'll find it!

what likely happened is that some clueless asshat ripped it from a compilation cd mixed by tiesto (prob. magik 4) and assumed tiesto's involvement. |

No assumption is involved just gross negligence...
the media file created when ripping tracks from those cd's recognises Tiesto as the artist... as its his CD and his name in the title. Sadly it also recognises the name of the actual track, but doesn't credit the artist in the ID3tag if just left automatically generated.
Sharing these things only with a few people leads to the knock on effect.
Fcuk Discogs would need about 10 new releases already from:
DJ Tiesto - Illusion
DJ Tiesto - Lord Of Tranz
Tiesto - Beautiful Things
:haha: |

I think my friend said ASOT 2005 did that too, he was convinced Arcadia was by AvB and wondered why he couldn't find it anywhere
:haha: |

From where I see it than is that, its not human error but technical fault in the ripping software or while writing files into CD. |

i didnt say it was human error - just the rippers negligence to be lazy enough not to update the information before actually sharing the file around p2p |
