Too hasty, like you should not hesitate in buying them, hell, buy them now. Just dont get used to a pair of cans because some tracks sound ok with them.

Experiment for the love of your music if nothing else. Not for someone elses opinion.

Some tracks sound ok with some sytems and bad with others.

Its a fact.

Use your own perspective and listen to as much as possible with as much as possible.

Yeah, if you listen to enough of your favourite tracks your ears will get tired. Eventually you wont be able to hear nothing more than what you want to and it will all sound good regardless.

Ears get tired if you don't break or change.

Experiment, dont use one thing all the time all the time.

And definately don't get comfortable.

If you want to save money buy a pair of in ear phones and go to bed listening to a self help hypnosis tape.

I will not apologise for flaming these posts.

These posts I flame are not giving good advice.

They are only giving advice baed on personal experience and if you think about it really, the experiences an individual has with his equipment are just as unique as the individual.

Therefore the advice should be go out and try the stuff.

Listen through as many pairs of cans as possible and decide for yourself.

These people are either trying to sell you Sennheiser cans or trying to sell you their own experience, either way, don't buy it.

I don't buy everything others tell me is great.

If I did i'd have a house full of crap.

Think about it.

It's one thing to ask but please, before you ask, gto and experience for yourself. If you can't make your mind up then you can ask. Then you will have some evidence or some grounding.

You are saying you have no frame of reference but you cant get frame of reference by asking others. You will only get bias.

DO yourself a favour and listen first.

Peace to all.

No response is necessary. That's kinda the point. Did you miss that.

Read the post I quoted and if you don't understand it, don't reply.

I think that's best.

Thanks Again

I wish i'd paid 195 sterling for my cans, maybe they'd sound as good as everyone else says they do/should.

SHOCKING THREAD

To send a guy out to pay 195 sterling for a pair of cans.

How many pairs of cans has this guy tried and tested.

How many pairs of cans have the examples presented in the thread been compared to.

Come on, were not talking toilet roll here, someone with apparently not a lot of cash has went out and paid 195 pounds for a pair of cans which you recommended on this thread and you have provided absolutely no comparison with other products available.

All you have provided is your own personal experience.

You are doing a disservice, I will never buy what someone else thinks is best for themselves, would you. You don’t listen to door-to-door salesmen, neither would you listen to a guy on the street.

Oh, I think these are great, they are great for me, but I can’t say where or when or why but buy ‘em anyway ‘cos they are good. They worked for me. They must be good for everybody ‘cos I thought they were good.

I'm sure if I told you that something was best for something you would run right out wouldn't you. NO.

No you wouldn't. So why should he.

Ok firstly these are the headphones hes looking at and he can afford him.

Secondly far as i know there is nothing out there that compares these to, they are widely known and often used in professional studios to check mixes on.

If he has the cash and wants the best headphones he can afford then these will be it, they translate well, the show everything in detail. Headphones are not like speakers there is no room dynamics involved, You are paying for the quallity of the drivers/crossover/and speaker in the headphones and 650's are the best.

Now quit being a ing **** and make some music.

There are other places where using monitors wouldn't be a good idea either, like in apartments with picky neighbors or with roomates that have sensative ears. I have heard great things about the 650's. However, I would recomend a pair of headphones I've become very happy with. You can hear everything that you normally wouldn't notice in other studio headphones. They are also even cheaper then the Sennheisers too. Check out the AGK k240's. The only draw backs are they are kinda goofy looking but are really confortable, and you would need a mixer so you could raise the volume in them as they could be louder. Other then that, AGK for the win.

I use the K240 headphones too, and I think they're great.

lol i wasn't asking for guidance :) i know these headphones will suit me as i used the sennheiser hd25's and i liked them but they were just a bit small and i needed something more comfortable. I appreciate it kev :) and i don't mind spending that kinda money it will be worth it in the long run.

I'm going to apologise now before I get banned from the forum.

I was hammered last night and my comments were not meant to be taken as seriously as they might suggest.

I did go a bit far and i'm sorry.

I won't make any more posts like that while under the influence.
