My TV broke 4 years ago...actualy it cought fire but thats not important, the thing is i still havent replaced is (the only three channels i miss anyway are discoery, nationa geographic and cartoon network).
As for lost, ill wait a few more weeks or even better untill the end of the season and then watch all episodes in a day. I hate it when they stop midseason wih a huge cliffhanger :whip: |

Shakka, just watched lost the other day ( I dohnload it... don't have a TV, its one of only a few shows I download):
I don't agree with the theory for two primary reasons:
1) It doesn't account for "the others" ... why did they kidnap the baby and the kid?
2) Its not easy to convery to the TV watching populace. I simply think this theory is "too complicated" and would require too many leapse of faith from the audience, an audience who would watch it would just say "yea right" instead of "that makes sense", and well the Lost writers are better than that.
Other reasons as well:
What accounts from the plane from nigeria?
What about the French women?
Why kill Boone and his sister after all the trouble of bringing them there?
What about the numbers and the lottery hurley won?
Combs are not allowed but gas engines (boat the stole the kid) are? |

Yeah, there are some opend ended questions to be sure. If you read through some of the other readers' comments, they did give some plausible explanations for some of the questions you point out. I think they said that there were essentially 2 groups of others, and I'd surmise that each group is a group of scientists, one group working for the project (making sure nobody leaves the island), while the other group is rebelling against the first, stealing the kids, thwarting the project, etc.
I had a similar question after I read it--why would they be killing people off if the point was to keep them alive on the island. A friend hypothesized that maybe the "consciousness" in the theory is only a guiding hand, not an active manipulator, and accidents still happen.
I wondered how the hell the Nigerian plane got there since it's extremely unlikely that that plane's route would be similar to a plane leaving from Australia. Furthermore, how was it arranged that everyone would go to Australia. I can't wait to find out the answers!
Definitely a complex theory though! Somebody had a lot of spare time while the show was on break. |
