midi vst looping problem...

so let's say i'm using a vst, and i record a loop using just the one note and the pitch bend wheel. i tryed making a repeatable loop (what other kind of loop is there?) out of this, but i can't get it quite right because in teh piano roll editor, it's all the same midi note. i could render it as a wav and then it would be easier to chain together because i could see the waveform, but then i'd lose the ability to edit the vst any further. i could do everything else on teh track first and then try and do a flawless performance with the pitch wheel, but.....

i don't think there's an easy solution, but i'm wondering what you guys do with looping segments using a vst and pitch bend / mod wheel....

not sure what you're trying to do... if i understand correctly...
- you're using a vst instrument
- you recroded lets say a 4 bar loop...
why not just duplicate the midi track?
then automate the pitch bend wheel?

not sure what the question is?
r u using cubase?
DJ Lucas
yep, i'm using cubase.

i want to create a nice tight midi loop using one note that is pitchbended. it's heavily modulated, so it would be very tricky to chop it up without breaking the consistency of the vst.

how do i automate the pitch bend? that would solve my problem.

is there a way to create the midi track and actually play the low and high range of what i want bended, and a function would automatically bend the pitch to and from the notes?

edit: i did rtfm too :thepirate
