I am flying up to see James in February from San Antonio. I am going to be there one day early...so here is my question. Does anyone know any nice places that play really good hip hop, live jazz, or blues? Thanks...it's appreciated
P.S. Anyone know somewhere cheap to drink before the Zabs show that is around Sounbar. Thanks again. |

| Theres a jazz bar just south of Vision on Dearborn, but i forget the name. Its not too far from Soundbar either. Short cabride away. |

the best jazz and blues, with live bands are ALWAYS playing @ Kingston Mines (in Lincoln Park) and B.L.U.E.S. thursday/friday/saturday should be your best bet!

| Anyone know of some good places to eat around the downtown area of the Chi? I am going to be staying at the Red Roof Inn off of Ontario and was looking to have some good eats at a decent price....any ideas? Thanks. I hear Gibson's is good.....anything else? |

| highly reccommend Gibsons if you are a beef fan... some of the best steaks in town. Gibson's is all Chicago baby :) |
