$300 for 2 Technics sl1200mkII good deal?

Ohh , I just found out the store for one of the tables is about 2.5 hour drive. That will take me almost 2 tanks of gas to get there and back (My car is a beast :o) So debating whether its worth it or not :o)
Im new to DJing and looking to buy some Turntables. After reading all the good stuff about the 1200's I might purchase some. I found some good deals locally and I can get 2 Technics sl1200MKII for about $300. one of them is "Good" and other one is "Very Good" condition. And everything works. :) Good deal? |

Seems nearly too good to be true!
But if it's genuine then go for it! However i'd probably like to see them before purchasing them, so if you can do that it would probably set your mind at ease as well.
If you don't know what to look out for, try bring someone along who knows :)

Its a chain store that has used aswell as new music instruments. I bought bunch of stuff for my studio before from them.
Actually their used items carry 30-60 day warranty I believe. Im definately going to see how they work etc before buying them. Too bad I have no DJ experts around :-) |

| buy it before anyone else does... especially since it has a warranty. that way you can do a thorough inspection from the comfort of your own home, w/out feeling any pressure/rush, or forgeting something when inspecting at the store. then if anything is wrong w/it you can decide whether to it's worth fixing, or if it's better to return it. good luck. |

| where is this store? in massachusetts or connecticut. Also, anyone who knows anything about turntables would know that a technics has a much higher resale value than 300 for a pair. Are you sure its not 300 for one!? |
