Club Night For Production People

Dear Tranceaddict

My college colleague and I are putting together a little concern.

This goes out to all unsigned and/or self-aware producers who would like to have their productions played in a club environment.

We will provide premises, DJ and hopefully a decent audience (your friends and/or family included) who will listen to your material, which may or may not be included in a mix of our DJ's choosing. That’s not to say you won't get played, you have as much chance as anybody if you submit a track. Furthermore we won't steal your recording, you will still own all rights but you will give us permission to play it by way of submission and broadcast to the public for one night.

It's an opportunity that I want to give to people in my position. I want to play my stuff loud and live, but I’m not a DJ.

Bluntly, we take submitted tracks from producers and while one DJ using available signed tracks plays a warm up set another DJ decides which tracks out of all productions submitted he/she would like to use for a mix to be played for the rest of the night.

This is really an open mic night for producers of our genres and as such we are hoping to attract label interest. Yes, we will be inviting representatives from various dance music labels and possibly DJ’s where appropriate.

THIS IS NOT an open DJ night where DJ's turn up with a predestined set which they have practiced week in week out in their bedrooms. We cannot account for your productions and will try our best to accommodate them and hopefully please everybody. Needless to say, there are some constraints. No Drum & Bass. Trance and or Techno are the preferred media but there are no guarantees and we are not judging anyone here. This is NOT X-Factor, phone votes don’t count and Simon Cowell is not on the panel.

What we need is producers willing to participate but the upside is having your tracks played in a club where you would normally have to go through other channels..

If you want free advertising and a captive audience and a sympathetic ear, look no further. If you don’t make this month there is no reason why you can’t make the next. We won’t destroy your music career commercially on the telly.

We are currently working on obtaining sponsorship and looking to put the night out around March but sponsorship aside we will still put the event on at cost to ourselves. We feel this much for our voice.

I feel very strongly about this as a producer and Sound Engineer. I only wish there were as many of this type of night for dance music producers as there are open mic nights for people willing to play guitar and sing live.

Please PM to register your interest and I guarantee a reply.

If you would like further details please also PM me.

I look forward to hearing from you.

P.S, my colleague and I are producers or we at least want to be, we are unsigned so this is why we are doing this and we feel very strongly about this concept. We have asked DJ's in the past to play our tracks and been dismissed. SO why not have a producers night.

Best wishes Miko Glacid & Kev K

Thank you for your interest
