I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
I have icq2001b on my machine and am not able to do file transfers within it. I have my 2 computers in my house networked and I'm thinking that is the reason why the file transfer won't work.
I have a router hooked up in order for my other machine to share my cable modem access. Does anyone know a way around this?

If you are using Windows XP, file transfers do not work over ICQ (when trying to receive files from another computer) and this is because of the firewall that comes installed with XP. The only solution to this problem is to disable the firewall completely (or open a whole bunch of specific ports).
If you are using a router and OSes that are not XP, then I can't really help ya |
