For the second January guest mix, we bring you Olly Perris. Also from the south of England, Olly's best known for his hard house and hard trance production skills but is rapidly getting recognised for his talents as a DJ. Olly's first single was "The Venue" with Ashley Sinclair in 2002, which got signed to Nukleuz Records following massive support from Andy Farley, BK and many of the other major players on the hard dance scene. He continued to turn out tracks with Ashley Sinclair, on his own and with Alf Bamford (aka Technikal) including "Check Out The Sound" on Impact Recordings in 2004. In total, Olly has sold over 50,000 records in 3 years.
He is now a resident for the fast-growing Addiction night in London and is the label manager for their record label, Addiction Digital, specializing in hard trance available via digital download. His DJing has recently put him playing at large events at clubs like Turnmills, Heaven and Koko in London and playing abroad, both in Ibiza as well as doing a tour of Australia last summer, playing in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
For this particular guest mix however, Olly cast aside his usual hard trance sound and has come up with a very special one-off digitally mixed nu-skool breakbeat mix. Using various loops, samples and acapellas, Olly has created a unique mix in which every track has been specially edited, resulting in a snappy, cheeky mix which will certainly get your feet tapping!
