I'm getting ready to start interviewing people next week, for the position of office assistant. Mostly phone calls to existing / potential future clients, setting up meetings, placing orders, etc. What kind of pay should i offer to start? $10? $12? The person is likely to be in their early to mid 20's.

it'll probably have to be around 12 or so,
but I wouldn't mind working for 10, i guess it's because im still a student.

buddy, if you have to ask a board how much to pay your assistant, you are honoestly in the wrong field. Its how much you think an assistant is worth, not what the norm is. Good luck man.

I use to work at a big company on creditstone rd. my friend was an office assistant. Depending on what you have in store for them to do, it will go from anywheres to 12-15 and hour. if they will be super busy then they wont stick around for only 10-11$ 12-15 is your best bet.
