JunkieXL @ Avalon review (semi-review)

Well, i didnt know what times JunkieXL would be spinning at, but i ended up catching the last 45 minutes of his show. It was the first time id ever seen JunkieXL Live and he seriously rocked. What impressed me the most was how would be jumping around and doing flips and stuff right when the bass lines hit, that was VERY cool and definetly got me more into it. Definetly enjoyed it. After he finished, DTJ came on and he actually train wrecked for a lil bit then finally went back to back badass tunes for a good while.. and then i left at around 5:30am.. So overall, good time.
Oh yes, i saw E.T. there live in person! He at one point got up on the front speakers and sat down stareing at the crowd lol. Some huge bouncer guy told him to get down, then E.T. came and danced near me and kept bumping into me lol. Also, very few Washing Machines tonight, very impressed! |

This is the funniest thing i've read all day...you were surprised at the train wrecking?
I didn't see ET! Simon pointed him out but his back was turned.
I had fun, haven't seen JunkieXL in a while...too bad Hybrid is getting progressively weirder.
The patio was pretty sick though, John Do is probably one of the best local house djs we have. Architects of Sound are very "day party" oriented, the whole Basic crew really knows how to put together an awesome party...but John's mixing and tracks are just getting better and better. |
