good luck bro. even though I was a Marine and detested the other branches :p, I respect anyone who serves period. For those who aren't too sure what their direction in life is, the miliary can be a good option. For me I gained the confidence and discipline to overcome ALOT of the I went through in the last 4 years. When I was stationed in Cali its also how I found myself in electronic music as I had not gotten into the scene before I joined.

I wouldn't worry too much about the weather. I recommend preparing yourself for the mental and physical challenge you will face.
Joining the military was the best thing for me. Like Matt, it also gave me the coinfidence and discipline I needed to overcome anything.
If you go to boot camp with a positive attitude, then you will do well.
BTW, Do you have a MOS? |

Not liking someone's religion doesn't make it racial, high-speed. If he'd said "Go over there and kill a bunch of raghead Arab-ass ing Hajis", then it would be a racist statement. Point in fact, it will be Muslims in Iraq who die because the enemy over there is, predominantly, of the Islamic faith. They are not, however, necessarily Arabs.
Being a Muslim doesn't entitle you to being a race, any more than being a Buddhist or Catholic or what have you. |
