So here's my question.
If I have a mixed CD and on that CD there is Track x (y remix), do I have the right to own, ie go out and download Track x (y remix), or can I only use the cut version that is on that CD?
Thanks in advance. |

Well you can download the mp3s if you want but you still don't get round the ridiculous digital licence that the PPL have brought out as you only own a licence for the version that's on the mix CD and not any of the others.
The whole thing is a farce if you ask me and I have sent them a letter stating so, they still haven't got back to me and I doubt they ever will.
Cheers

| im pretty sure your only entitled to play the cut version. you would have to download the full version off a legal site and pay for it! |

Technically yes, but technically no
They dont know their ass from their elbow- even the PRS/PPL employees dont know their own ing laws and regulations
Whatever- its techincally a breach of the mechanical copyright, but ive never let anything like that stop me before and have argued this point with the tossers many times. |
