Hey Check out this new article on Armin Feature. It's pretty nice! They got some pretty decent sets on here too.

Nice article. Armin always comes off as a really nice guy who loves what he does.

agree with above posters :) say what you want about armin, but he has the right attitude that is necessary to stay on top a longer time IMO :)

I love Armin. Sometimes I don't feel the trance he plays sometimes because its a little cheesy but hes got so much heart and is good for the scene.

Awesome interview. And again, he made it quite clear about ASOT that these aren't tunes that he necessarily likes himself but just him trying to give other artists and producers a chance to get their music heard. I dunno why, but people continue to slate the show and Armin together and that if a current episode of ASOT sucks, well then so does Armin. Anyway, great interview and clearly shows why he is still my #1 favorite dj. :D

As proof that he is still very much just a big fan of dance music, consider Van Buuren’s weekly radio show “A State Of Trance.” Despite a hectic work schedule he continues to offer this popular show on his own time and without receiving any money. Originally started 5 years ago as a joke, “A State Of Trance” has grown into a serious show with a huge cult following (now broadcast in 14 countries) across the world.

I'll agree Armin's a nice guy, but still, it doesn't mean he's gone way down hill as of late. And all this "it's not about money" talk is bull because there's been many a time when he's mentioned that it's a business and that he's in it to make money.

You got any sources of him saying that he is in it for the money? I'd love to see them, otherwise I call bull. :)

I don't have sources directly at hand to pull a Radagast outta my ass and link you to it in nine seconds, no.

I can however, link you toooooo here and you try to tell me he's not in it for the money.

Let's see, an entire dvd where 95% of the featured tracks are his own damn productions (not even Tijs is that bad), he released the ASOT 2005 year mix on cd for purchase (thus somewhat making it illegal to download or rip) when the past few years have just been ripped and/or downloaded.

Try to tell me there's not a subtext in this.

Well he does produce his own music so I would only assume yes, a lot of his productions would be on his DVD that carries his name. I wouldn't expect a band to throw other bands songs on their DVD so why can't a producer of Trance music do the same? And I think releasing the ASOT cd was a nice idea, even though I wasn't too into a lot of the tracks on it. This is a business he and many of other DJ's got themselves into. I'd only hope for their sake they try to make money doing it.
