i'm actually going out to San Diego to see the man who brought me to my very first loft party and kept me going and going and going...lol. yep, Victor Dinaire.

God this has always been a point of contention, even back when Vic was at the loft.....
The good majority of our crowd/ our family (people who come to the loft regularly and make it the amazing place it is), love prog, house, tribal, etc. They love the diversity of music we bring and the high level of quality local DJs we book (this was started by Vic and Ian and continued by me and Ian). The good majority of our crowd now does not like trance, as a matter of fact often we've found trance can drive alot of these same people away, etc.
BUT there is a small but significant group of our crowd who love trance and bring an amazing vibe and energy to our party. So to make everyone happy, we usually have Dave play in the morning (Dave plays top notch, proper trance) and occassionally have a guest DJ who plays trance (this month I was hoping it would be Big Mike, next month I'd like to have Serge Devant come through, etc.) |

DONE IN THE PROPER TIME SLOT AND IN THE PROPER PRPORTION, IT S ALL GOOD. THE CROWD AND MUSIC HAVE CHANGED OVER THE YEARS IT STARTED OUT AS A TRANCE DRIVEN CROWD AND NOW NOW ITS A MORE HOUSE DRIVEN CROWD TIMES AND THE DJS CHANGE BUT, THE VIBE HASNE BEEN LOST. I LIKE SERGE HE PLAYS WELL. |
