i love horror, so when i got my new recording stuff i thought yeah why not make a horror trance song? the song has good quality sound effects that will tell you a story while enjoying the music, a new sort of trance? i dont know... but enjoy;)

I am liking the intro. Very spooky soundscapes. Good way to introduce your tune.
The beat is ok. Maybe the hihat is a little too thin.
The lead synth doesnt fit at all. First of all it just starts all of a sudden, any maybe that supersaw type of synth does not really fit with the rest. You could definately choose a deeper, more obscure sound to make it harmonize better with the rest. Furthermore, the melody is definately too happy. It's not what I imagine when thinking of Zombies at Night ;)
Then you need a bassline, it does not need to be something really standing out but at least it should contribute the warmth necessary. Plus it can really add some depth. |

That was a creepy effect.
Percs in intro kinda standard. I was hoping for some really scary percs to go with these sound effects.
Lead: :wtf: This is not what I pictured. It's even an uplifing melody. I expecting some bizarre acid synth to come at me from all sides and try to kill my grandmother. At the very least, go with a more dark synth and try to find a less happy melody.
You definitely need a bassline, too. Something deep and grumbly with creepy little stabs every so often. Listen to Trancesetters - Roaches to get a feel for what I'm talking about. |

Dunno what to think of this track. On one hand, it tries to be commercial kinda style. But on the other hand it seems like an experimental kind of soundfx-show that tries to frighten you up. It's a bit cruel to say, but it doesn't frighten you up at all and it sounds more like a cheap halloween movie I'm affraid:( I also don't like how the beat is constantly been build-up and colapsed. What I like about it though, is the pure and playfull way of how the sounds are used here. They're sure entertaining and original. (But they better stand alone, and not as a background of a silly Trance melody without the bassline)
No, you really need some more work on this. Sorry for being so harsh, but this is not my cup-of-tea when it comes to an experimental Trance type-of-thingy:o

| Thats what i love about these forums, wierd ass like this. Man, I laughed pretty hard at this track I gotta say. Thats not to say I didnt enjoy it though, you just really try out some strange combinations of elements. Slapping noises and grows with cheesed up melodies...lol. Keep at it man! Maybe darken the melody with some fx and foucs more on percussion and bassline. |
