Help with creating lead synth

hey guys ive been messin around with v-station tryin to get the same synth sound down as the lead synth from the song: Marcos - Summer Solstice.
i almost got an accurate resemblance by playin with the knobs for countless hours, and i found that increasing the portamento is what gives it that special characteristic the original song has...also i use three simultaneous sawtooth wavs and one is lower octave, another is slightly higher, and the third a little more...anyway, even if its with vanguard, does anyone know how to achieve such a sound? |

| id have a go at helping i work alot with v-station and aint bad at recreating sounds but i dont know the tune,maybe put a short clip up of the tune! |

| wow that sounds pretty close enough to the original, i think it just needs a slight increase in the decay or sustain, not too sure, but if u take a screenshot of ur vanguard, i can try to continue from there and see if i can nail it down...but wow great job plus i like ur trance kicks, where u get those from haha u even made ur sample have the original songs same buildup...gj |

do you use fruity loops cos i cud send you the flp file!or i cud send the patches and a midi file!
just had a laugh copying it lol, thing is it dont sound good without the fx and build up the lead on its todd is pretty dull really!
the kick is two diff vengeance samples eqd and compressed,ill send you that annall if you like it, i feel kind today |

| yeah i use fruityloops haha sure just send the flps, and the kicks is in the flp too right, since its vanguard i wont have a problem opening up the full project, so good idea send over the flp i appreciate the work man haha thanks again |

Any chance I could grab the flp file, I could really use that sound in my current project. Could you post it up, maybe others might like it as well.

| Chrisspob, might I suggest lowering the filter evelope modulation. The original isn't as bright as yours, I'd reckon. |
