Hi Folks,
here's a track I made some months ago. Chilling Breakbeat raising up to 140 bpm 4/4 psytrance and then calming down again to chill out the story.

I'm thinking of cutting the middle part and make a 100% chillbreaks track, with another trackname of course as it wouldn't be a mental leap anymore :p.

Good intro pad.
These drums are probably going to get more complicated, but they feel hopelessly random in the intro, and it's kind of unsettling.
I like that acid bass synth.
Resonance pads are tight.
Starting to hear some cool sounds. But it better hurry up, even a patient man like me is starting to lose interest.
It's a cool beat, but it doesn't give much groove.
With the transfer into more conventional style, it takes a while for things to settle in. It really happened at that drop in the sixth minute.
You've got a lot of trippy sounds and cool acid, but the track can't seem to hold onto any of the grooves it develops. Try to get some consistancy, especially in your breakbeats. |

Quite enjoyed listening to this track. The breaks have a pretty minimal feel to them at times but I think they hold together well. A few more edits here and then would spice things up bit more though.
Liking the sci fi sample... discect the planet?? :cool:
Buildup to the psy part is ok I though. Does feel like a different track here but given the IDM feel of the track I think its ok. Really like all the fx and subtleties aswell as the ambient soundscapes. |
