yeah we've been on a rollercoaster of snow/ice storms/bitter cold alternated with rain warm weather. |

yup yup...i first noticed the difference in weather last august. i'll never forget this storm for as long as i live. i mean, we get some wicked weather in south florida, but this was like crazy. there was never one second of silence because there were that many lightning strikes/thunder throughout the whole storm. they say that in a typical lightning/thunder storm in south florida, the norm is around 300 bolts of lightning...during this one particular storm, they predicted there were close to 3,000.
i was scared to run to my car from my apt. building, that's how bad it was. it was crazy. i thought to myself, "this is strange, the weather is getting more and more severe"
anyway, pics i took of the cloud formation right before that storm hit.

| ^^^looks kickass.. i've seen some crazy ass cloud cover in my day. I usually bust out the video camera when the 80mph gusts hit and the sky is dark grey with lighting and tornado sirens going off... i love summers |

yea i discovered during this past hurricane season that i have a thing for storm chasing/filming. during hurricane wilma i was out on my patio taking little mini clips from the digital of my back yard canal...there were like tidal waves in it with huge tree branches flying by and ducks too...it was crazy. my mom was like, "JAMIE! get back inside!" i could totally get into it.
u probably get tornadoes up there huh? |

ive never seen one in real life because they seem to hit everywhere around me and never where i am. i GUESS i'm lucky but tell that to the voice inside my head who wants to take pictures.
next time it hits one of those small towns around here i'm getting in my car and driving there so i can take pictures of the asphalt being torn off the roads and semi's flying through houses
300+ mph winds ftw |

Miami weather is even crazier
it's hott then it rains, then it's super cold
it's windy + cold & cloudy, it rains & then it gets even colder
repeat...no wonder people are always sick. |

please please please do NOT be so quick as to blame it on global warming. The biggest factor in the recent trend is due to the developing La Niņa conditions and other atmospheric conditions.
I dont feel like going into details and logistics (b/c 98% of the people will say stfu what do you know or else it will be well beyond them).
But it is NOT global warming. |

It's been raining here for almost 30 days straight now, and we're supposed to hit 35 days or something, breaking the previous record of 31.
I really love the rain, but the only downside is that my work was built on a marsh, so all of the moisture ends up causing an extremely vile smell every night; think 1000 stinkbombs going off at once. :nervous:
Oh, and I have to agree with Nut on this one. Global warming causes effects slowly, and I can't see it all of a sudden going from normal weather to massively random-ass . It definitely has some sort of effect, but it's by no means the primary factor. |
